In Friday's league game, the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) football team smashed the visiting Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), by a score of 49-14.
The Jaguars (4-5) will now prepare for their game against St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA). The Hawks come into the 2A District 7 game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, St. Helena College and Career Academy was ripped by Northlake Christian (Covington, LA), 10-7, in a league game.
The Bulldogs now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host St. Thomas Aquinas for a 2A District 7 game on Friday, November 4. Springfield will battle a Falcons team coming off a 52-44 league loss to Independence (Independence, LA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-8.
