In Saturday's league game, the Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) football team were victorious over the host Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD), by a score of 27-14.

The Lightning (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hornets come into the non-league game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Great Mills knocked off Lackey (Indian Head, MD), 40-13, in a league game.

The Wildecats now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a Howard County game on Friday, November 3. Wilde Lake will meet a Eagles team coming off a 34-7 league loss to Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
