In Friday's league game, the Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR) football team overcame the host Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR), by a tally of 48-28.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR) in a 4A Region 3 game, on Friday, October 10. Gosnell will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 60-14 league loss to Highland (Hardy, AR).
