Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) and the host Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), saw Greater Nanticoke Area's soccer squad prevail over Western Wayne by a count of 5-1.

The Trojans (6-7) will now prepare for their match against Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, PA). The Blue Knights come into the Wyoming Valley 2 match with a 4-10 record.

The Wildcats now sport a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montrose for a Lackawanna 2 match on Tuesday, October 7. Western Wayne will meet a Meteors team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Honesdale (Honesdale, PA). The Meteors record now stands at 6-3.
