In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Central of Clay County Volunteers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Talladega Tigers.

The Volunteers (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Handley (Roanoke, AL). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Handley lost by Munford (Munford, AL), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL) in a 5A Area 8 test, on Thursday, October 7. Talladega will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record. The Wildcats enter the test with a 9-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Calera (Calera, AL).
