Dodd City Hornets (Dodd City, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX), 53-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dodd City upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Bears play the Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 14. Sulphur Bluff will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
