The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) and the visiting Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX), observed New Waverly's basketball team overwhelm Leggett by a margin of 60-26.

The Bulldogs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hempstead (Hempstead, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Hempstead was trounced by Danbury (Danbury, TX), 62-48, in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laneville for a non-league match on Friday, November 14. Leggett will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 78-2 non-league loss to Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-1.
