The St. John XXIII Lions basketball team scored 39 points and limited the visiting The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors to 28 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart for a non-league game on Friday, November 15. St. John XXIII will confront a Chargers team coming off a 35-24 non-league loss to Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, The Woodlands Christian Academy falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Northland Christian (Houston, TX) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, November 15. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 1-0. Northland Christian won 48-6 in their recent non-league game against Houston Homeschool Athletics (Conroe, TX)
