Texas High School Basketball - New Caney held off by Alvin

In Saturday's non-league test, the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) basketball squad got by the visiting New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), by a score of 39-34.

Next, the Yellowjackets encounter the Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, November 18. Alvin will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Stingarees come into the test with a 0-3 record after their 75-16 non-league loss to Clear Creek (League City, TX).

The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Cypress Creek (Houston, TX). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Cypress Creek tipped Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX), 52-39, in a non-league battle.
