Del Lago Academy Firebirds (Escondido, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting The Cambridge School Griffins (San Diego, CA), 54-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Del Lago Academy upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Central (El Centro, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 19. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Central won 58-54 in their recent non-league bout against Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA)

Next up, the Griffins play the Mountain Empire Redhawks (Pine Valley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. The Cambridge School will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
