The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Walker Valley Mustangs to 52 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Pius X Catholic for a non-league contest on Monday, November 21. Notre Dame will meet a Golden Lions team coming off a 75-53 non-league loss to Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Golden Lions record now stands at 0-1.

The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Collegedale Academy (Collegedale, TN). The Collegedale Eagle enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record.
