Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wylie East Raiders (Wylie, TX), 53-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Austin upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Maroons travel to Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Cedar Ridge won 61-53 in their recent non-league bout against Rowe (McAllen, TX)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the South Garland Titans (Garland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Wylie East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
