North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett trounced by Fairmont

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) and the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), observed Fairmont's basketball team overwhelm Purnell Swett by a score of 58-26.

The Golden Tornadoes (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Lumberton was crushed by Fairmont (Fairmont, NC), 48-37, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Brunswick for a non-league battle on Friday, November 21. Purnell Swett will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 53-40 non-league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 0-2.
