Huckabay Indians (Stephenville, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX), 53-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Huckabay upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Indians host Eula (Clyde, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Lions play the Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 21. Saltillo will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 55-35 non-league loss to Bland (Merit, TX).
