San Diego Cavers (San Diego, CA) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Preuss UCSD Tritons (La Jolla, CA), 61-53 in a non-league contest.

The Cavers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Tritons battle the Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 22. Preuss UCSD will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
