In Saturday's non-league contest, the host New Mexico Military Institute Colts basketball team scored a big 79-51 triumph over the Tatum Coyotes.

The Colts (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM). The Lobos go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
