Douglas Eagles (Douglas, AL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Geraldine Bulldogs (Geraldine, AL), 64-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Douglas upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host New Hope (New Hope, AL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 1-1. New Hope lost 79-78 in their recent non-league bout against Fairview (Cullman, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Plainview Bears (Rainsville, AL) in a 3A Area 14 bout, on Friday, December 2. Geraldine will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
