Mississippi High School Basketball - Loyd Star crushes Salem

Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS), 57-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Loyd Star upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host North Pike (Summit, MS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 7-1. North Pike won 43-17 in their recent non-league bout against Amite County (Liberty, MS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Cobras come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 48-47 non-league win over Richland (Richland, MS).
