In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Bethany Community Wolves basketball team scored a good 60-42 triumph over the West Wilkes Blackhawks.
The Wolves (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Phoenix Academy (High Point, NC). The Firebirds go into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Phoenix Academy was dropped by Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 67-47, in a non-league match.
The Blackhawks now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 2. West Wilkes will face a Spartans squad coming off a 73-12 non-league win over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-0.
