    The Ariton Purple Cats walloped the host Washington County Bulldogs football team by a score of 55-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

    In their next game, the Purple Cats face the Lanett Panthers (Lanett, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 14. Ariton will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 42-6 non-league win over Zion Chapel (Jack, AL).

    With the defeat, Washington County drops to 6-5 on the year.
