Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY), 42-26 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Martin County improves its record to 9-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Belfry (Belfry, KY) to play the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, November 14. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 10-1. Belfry won 47-0 in their recent non-league test against Leslie County (Hyden, KY)

With the defeat, Betsy Layne drops to 4-7 on the campaign.
