Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL), 52-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lincoln-Way East upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Griffins travel to Oswego East (Oswego, IL) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Oswego East won 61-59 in their recent league bout against Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL)

Next up, the Porters play the York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Lockport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 60-42 non-league win over Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL).
