Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), 46-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Currituck County upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to clash with the Bears in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout on Friday, December 8. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Perquimans will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Aces go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 47-32 non-league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
