Illinois High School Basketball - Hartsburg-Emden knocked off by Flanagan-Cornell

The Flanagan-Cornell Falcons basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Hartsburg-Emden Stags to 42 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcons now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Paso-Gridley for a Heart of Illinois contest on Tuesday, December 13. Flanagan-Cornell will meet a Titans team coming off a 57-45 non-league win over Delavan (Delavan, IL). The Titans record now stands at 5-1.

The Stags (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL). The Cyclones enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Cornerstone Christian was outscored by Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL), 52-47, in a non-league contest.
