Wisconsin High School Basketball - Amherst sneaks past Nekoosa

The Amherst Falcons (Amherst, WI) basketball edged the visiting Nekoosa Papermakers (Nekoosa, WI), 49-48 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Falcons now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Menominee Indian for a Central Wisconsin - East bout on Thursday, December 12. Amherst will play a Eagles team coming off a 67-56 league loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Nekoosa falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Papermakers host Athens (Athens, WI) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 12. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Athens lost 72-32 in their recent non-league bout against Stratford (Stratford, WI)
