Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ridgeview Mustangs (Colfax, IL), 57-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Eureka upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Hornets host Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL) to play the Knights in a Heart Of Illinois bout on Thursday, December 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Fieldcrest won 53-49 in their recent league bout against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL) in a Heart Of Illinois bout, on Thursday, December 14. Ridgeview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Turks go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 59-51 league win over Lexington (Lexington, IL).
