Illinois High School Basketball - Mercer County can't get by Rockridge

The Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball squad (Aledo, IL), was nudged 26-21 in Thursday's league battle with the host Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL)

With the victory, Rockridge advances its record to 4-6 on the year. The Rockets travel to Macomb (Macomb, IL) to meet the Bombers in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 14. The Bombers enter the battle with a record of 8-3. Macomb won 48-38 in their recent non-league battle against Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL)

The Golden Eagles now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bureau Valley for a non-league battle on Monday, December 16. Mercer County will meet a Storm squad coming off a 59-31 league loss to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Storm record now stands at 5-4.
