Horn Jaguars (Mesquite, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host North Forney Falcons (Forney, TX), 45-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Horn upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Rockwall (Rockwall, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, December 16. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a record of 10-7. Rockwall won 46-31 in their recent league bout against Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Royse City Bulldogs (Royse City, TX) in a 6A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, December 16. North Forney will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 37-30 non-league loss to Dallas Thunder (Dallas, TX).
