The Marion County Red Raiders basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the visiting Lynn Bears to 33 in the Red Raiders league victory on Thursday.

The Red Raiders now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brilliant for a 1A Area 11 contest on Friday, December 16. Marion County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 61-45 non-league win over Haleyville (Haleyville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 10-3.

The Bears (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Winston County (Double Springs, AL). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Winston County was crushed by Curry (Jasper, AL), 41-34, in a non-league bout.
