Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), 44-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vinton upgrades its record to 1-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Starks (Starks, LA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Starks lost 60-25 in their recent non-league bout against LaSalle (Olla, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Elton Indians (Elton, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Pine Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 54-30 non-league loss to Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA).
