The Magazine Rattlers (Magazine, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Scranton Rockets (Scranton, AR), 42-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Rattlers (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Mountainburg (Mountainburg, AR). The Dragons go into the 2A Region 4 test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Mountainburg got by Hector (Hector, AR), 58-55, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Guy-Perkins for a 1A Region 4 test on Tuesday, December 19. Scranton will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 45-28 league loss to Sacred Heart (Morrilton, AR). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-6.
