The Elk Grove Thundering Herd basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Cordova Lancers to 28 in the Thundering Herd non-league triumph on Friday.

The Thundering Herd now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Casa Roble for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Elk Grove will battle a Rams team coming off a 47-36 non-league win over Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Rams record now stands at 5-7.

The Lancers (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Pioneer (Woodland, CA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Pioneer was defeated by Marysville (Marysville, CA), 41-32, in a non-league contest.
