Mormon Trail Saints (Garden Grove, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Orient-Macksburg Bulldogs (Orient, IA), 59-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Mormon Trail upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Saints host Murray (Murray, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a Bluegrass bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Murray won 44-10 in their recent league bout against Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Orient-Macksburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Mohawks go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 37-34 league win over Seymour (Seymour, IA).
