Washburn Cardinals (Washburn, ND) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Killdeer Cowboys (Killdeer, ND), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Washburn upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Beulah (Beulah, ND) to play the Miners in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Miners come into the bout with a record of 2-3. Beulah won 56-28 in their recent non-league bout against Wilton/Wing (Wilton, ND)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Divide County Maroons (Crosby, ND) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Killdeer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Maroons come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 46-13 league win over Ray (Ray, ND).
