Georgia High School Basketball - Cherokee can't hold off Buford

The Buford Wolves basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Cherokee Warriors to 63 in the Wolves non-league victory on Saturday.

The Wolves now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McDonough for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Buford will battle a Warhawks team coming off a 88-67 non-league win over Tucker (Tucker, GA). The Warhawks record now stands at 7-0.

The Warriors (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Effingham County (Springfield, GA). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Effingham County edged Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA), 46-36, in a non-league contest.
