In Tuesday's league contest, the host Starkville Yellowjackets basketball team scored a big 67-32 triumph over the Murrah Mustangs.

The Yellowjackets (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS). The Conquistadors go into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Olive Branch was trounced by Fayette Ware (Somerville, TN), 65-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Murrah will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Gators go into the contest with a 11-4 record after their 67-63 non-league loss to Morton (Morton, MS).
