The Mustangs (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Troy (Troy, KS). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Troy defeated Valley Falls (Valley Falls, KS), 55-11, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Oskaloosa Bears (Oskaloosa, KS) in a Northeast Kansas challenge, on Friday, December 20. Horton will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 41-37 league loss to McLouth (McLouth, KS).
