The Hurley Northstars basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Mellen Granite Diggers to 51 in the Northstars league triumph on Monday.

The Northstars now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercer for a Northern Lights contest on Tuesday, December 19. Hurley will meet a Tigers team coming off a 72-31 league loss to Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 1-5.

The Granite Diggers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Lumberjacks enter the Northern Lights contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Drummond ran past Birchwood (Birchwood, WI), 49-36, in a non-league contest.
