In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Lacey Township Lions basketball team scored a close 63-60 win over the Middletown South Eagles.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates (Princeton Junction, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Middletown South will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 53-40 league loss to Princeton (Princeton, NJ).
