The Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host Penney Hornets to 34 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Monday.

The Minutemen now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Excelsior Springs for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3. Lexington will confront a Tigers team coming off a 61-37 non-league loss to Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Penney falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Norborne (Norborne, MO) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 0-0.
