The East Duplin Panthers basketball team scored 29 points and held the host North Lenoir Hawks to 9 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host James Kenan for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. East Duplin will battle a Tigers team coming off a 24-15 non-league loss to Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 2-2.
The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Goldsboro ran past Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC), 50-24, in a non-league contest.
