The Merritt Oilers basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Hinton Comets to 37 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Oilers now have a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Navajo for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Merritt will confront a Indians team coming off a 63-12 non-league loss to Hammon (Hammon, OK). The Indians record now stands at 2-9.
The Comets now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Cobb-Broxton for a Freelance battle on Tuesday, January 7.
