Kentucky High School Basketball - Smyrna can't get by Union County

Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Smyrna Bulldogs (Smyrna, TN), 60-54 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Union County advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Braves travel to Mayfield (Mayfield, KY) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 2-1. Mayfield lost 49-36 in their recent non-league match against McCracken County (Paducah, KY)

The Bulldogs now own a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Russellville for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Smyrna will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Glasgow (Glasgow, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.
