Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge holds off Preston

December 21, 2022: Frostburg, MD 21532

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), saw Mountain Ridge's basketball squad hold off Preston by a tally of 35-29.

With the victory, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Northern (Accident, MD) to confront the Huskies in a challenge on Monday, January 9. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Knights confront the Keyser Golden Tornado (Keyser, WV) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Preston will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record.
