North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons (Pikeville, NC), 48-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Pitt upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Panthers host North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-4. North Lenoir won 47-40 in their recent league bout against East Duplin (Beulaville, NC)

Next up, the Golden Falcons play the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals (Goldsboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. C.B. Aycock will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 54-31 non-league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC).
