Iowa High School Basketball - Oelwein ripped by Grundy Center

The Grundy Center Spartans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Oelwein Huskies to 29 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jesup for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4. Grundy Center will meet a J-Hawks team coming off a 73-41 non-league win over Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA). The J-Hawks record now stands at 5-3.

The Huskies (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Central (Maynard, IA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, West Central was routed by Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA), 56-38, in a league contest.
