In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored a big 63-37 triumph over the Howard Tigers.
The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Highmore/Harrold (Highmore, SD). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Highmore/Harrold smashed Faulkton (Faulkton, SD), 51-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats (Kimball, SD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Howard will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Wildkats go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 30-25 non-league loss to Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD).
