The Staples Wreckers basketball team (Westport, CT), was overwhelmed 57-31 in Friday's league battle with the visiting St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT)

The Cadets now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Danbury for a Fairfield County battle on Wednesday, January 3. St. Joseph will confront a Hatters team coming off a 44-40 non-league loss to New Milford (New Milford, CT). The Hatters record now stands at 2-3.

The Wreckers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record.
