The Harrisburg Hornets basketball squad (Harrisburg, AR), was nudged 68-61 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Southside Southerners (Batesville, AR)

With the victory, Southside advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Southerners host Searcy (Searcy, AR) to meet the Lions in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 5-8. Searcy lost 75-27 in their recent non-league battle against Alma (Alma, AR)

The Hornets now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rivercrest for a 3A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 7.
