In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting University Prep Art & Design Mustangs basketball team scored a close 52-46 triumph over the Southfield Arts & Tech Warriors.

The Mustangs (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Edison Academy (Detroit, MI). The Pioneers go into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Edison Academy nipped Harper Woods (Harper Woods, MI), 70-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors confront the Lincoln Park Railsplitters (Lincoln Park, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Southfield Arts & Tech will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Railsplitters go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 57-19 league win over Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI).
